About me

Hello! Welcome to my blog! My name is Caleb Rumbley. I’m fifteen years old, and I live in Wisconsin. Some hobbies of mine are playing drums, working out, and soccer. I’m currently homeschooled and in my junior year.

I’ve grown up in the church as a pastor’s kid basically my whole life, but it wasn’t until the past few years that I’ve actually started really caring about Jesus and all the stuff I learn in church. When I started taking God and my own faith more seriously it led me to an interest in preaching and apologetics (the rational, fact-based defense of Christianity).

The reason I love preaching and apologetics is because they are centered around truth - the truth of God’s existence and the truth of what that means for us. Truth is one of my core values. If we don’t have the truth, what do we have?

What I want to do with this blog is say what I believe to be true, why I believe it, and expand on what that means for us; however I certainly don't claim that I'm always right. I simply give my opinion and the reasoning behind it.

I don’t want to just state facts and information. I want to talk about how we should act on truth. What should this truth cause us to think or do? How might it change us and the way we see something? For example, if God is real, what implications does that have for us? If Jesus loved his enemies, what should that cause us to do? My goal is to go deeper than just facts and arguments.

I hope you enjoy and learn from what I have to say!
